Welcome to the home of ‘Madness, Mental illness and Mind Doctors in 20th and 21st Century Popular Culture‘ – a two-day medical humanities conference to be held at the University of Edinburgh on 3rd and 4th May 2018.

As part of our conference, we — in conjunction with the Edinburgh Filmhouse — are hosting a public screening of Girl, Interrupted. A panel discussion and audience Q&A will follow the movie. Our panel will comprise both academics and medical professionals.

All the requisite information should be contained on these pages but if you have any additional queries don’t hesitate to contact the organising committee.

If you’d like to present a paper at the conference, we welcome abstracts until 2nd February.
